Madrid, Spain Preliminary Announcement [PDF] LecturersCarmen Andrade, IETCC-CSIC, Spain Organised byMette Geiker, DTU, Denmark Scope of CourseThe present course is the third of six one-week courses given as part of the NANOCEM MC-RTN. The objective of this third course is to introduce the participant to durability related topics, standardization issues, and career possibilities in industry. Course ContentsThe following subjects are covered in the course: • Basic mechanisms The course consists of connected lectures and visit to the laboratories of Institute of Construction Science Eduardo Torroja (CSIC). Social activities during the course are planned to promote a stimulating study atmosphere. Work LoadThe estimated work load corresponds to 1 ECTS points, including approximately 20 hours of contact and an individual report after the course. | Study MaterialsNotes will be provided before the course. EvaluationIn order to get the credits, the participants will present a written report answering the question "How do you suggest to transfer research results to practice". ParticipantsThe participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of concrete technology. All lectures will be given in English. CostsThe course fee of € 500.-- will apply for the entire course for industrial participants. A reduced tariff of €250.-- will apply for students.
