Travel arrangements to the Village Hotel, Leeds

FROM LEEDS-BRADFORD AIRPORT

Where possible/convenient, the best option is to fly to Leeds-Bradford Airport  (www.leedsbradfordairport.co.uk). There are direct flights to many (mainland) European destinations, but if direct flights are unavailable then there are regular flights to Amsterdam from where it is possible to connect with just about anywhere. The hotel is just under 12 km from the airport, and is on the right side of the city to avoid getting snarled up in traffic. The journey should cost about £10 by taxi.

FROM MANCHESTER AIRPORT

If you are flying into Manchester then there are trains about once an hour from Manchester airport to Leeds, with the journey taking about 1 ½ hours. Many of the trains are direct, but if not then it is necessary to change at Manchester Piccadilly. Train times and ticket prices can be found at www.thetrainline.co.uk. From Leeds city centre the hotel is about 20 minutes by taxi. A taxi from Manchester airport to Leeds would single handedly pull the UK out of recession. The journey is about 100 km, and would take about 1 ½ hours.
