Fred Glasser will celebrate his 80th birthday in May, 2009. To celebrate this and in recognition of his outstanding contribution to cement science, a conference over three-days will be held in Aberdeen, the scope of which will embrace six key themes in which he has made significant impact.

Hydration & Durability

Theme 4

Thermodynamic Modelling

Theme 5

Cements for Waste Management

Theme 6

Hydrate Characterisation

Although themes will be introduced by invited speakers, facilitators will ensure that ample time and opportunity is made available for discussion amongst all delegates. A limited number of posters will be accepted within the themes identified. These will be displayed for the duration of the conference and discussed during a formal poster session.
